A highly respected commercial construction company is prepared to add a Project Accountant to their organization. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual looking for a stable general contractor with room to grow. This contractor is experiencing steady growth and is one of the premiere contractors in the region.
Project Accountant Functions
• Perform month-end close activities including journal entries and debits/credits
• Assist with accounts receivable, processing approximately 100 invoices per week
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure KPIs are met, contributing to potential bonus earnings
• Manage budgeting processes and check runs
• Ensure financial accuracy and awareness across all projects
• No initial management duties, but potential for future growth into a managerial position
Project Accountant Qualifications
• 5+ years of construction project accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks acceptable)
• Knowledge of Work-in-Progress (WIP) accounting
• Excel skills
• Sharp, analytical mindset with the ability to work independently and proactively
