About the position
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Consultation Advisor to support consultation activities across the Infrastructure Directorate.
Operating within a collaborative job share arrangement, this position works two days per week to deliver high quality community and stakeholder engagement across a range of infrastructure, environmental and strategic projects.

In this role, you will
Coordinate community and stakeholder consultation for all Infrastructure Directorate projects
Provide expert advice on best‑practice engagement methods and consultation planning
Review and recommend Consultation Plans to ensure consistency and compliance with City policies
Analyse consultation outcomes and prepare high‑quality written reports
Facilitate public meetings, workshops and information sessions, including occasional after-hours work
Administer and maintain the City's consultation web platform
Provide training and guidance to staff on engagement processes and the IAP2 framework
Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
What we are looking for
To be successful, you must be able to demonstrate:
Sound knowledge and experience in coordinating project consultation activities
High‑level written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem‑solving and reporting capabilities
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate, high‑quality outputs
Essential requirements
Tertiary qualification in community engagement/consultation (Certificate, Diploma or equivalent)
Driver's licence
Current Police Clearance (less than three months old). Please note: This is not essential to apply for the role, but it will be required at a later stage as it is an appointment condition.
