Primary objective
The Project Coordinator provides high-quality project coordination and administrative support to the Organisational Support and
Coordination team, helping deliver services and project activities. The role supports assigned projects for agency and sector-wide
initiatives through research and analysis, accurate documentation, stakeholder engagement, and timely outcomes.

Context statement
Organisational Support delivers a range of functions such as human resources administration, work health and safety, workforce
culture and wellbeing, capability building, emergency response coordination and other services to support DCDD to achieve its
corporate goals and responsibilities.

Key duties and responsibilities
1. Assist with high quality project administration and activities including the planning and coordination of workshops, secretariat

support, preparing documentation, and assisting with execution and follow up activities.
2. Coordinate and maintain relevant administrative systems and processes to monitor workflows and support effective reporting

requirements.
3. Contribute to the design and preparation of governance reports, project status reports, presentations, agendas, and meeting

papers and proactively maintain an awareness of status of divisional priorities.
4. Develop and regularly assess documentation and processes for continuous improvement activities which create efficiencies

and streamline working practices.
5. Develop, maintain, and foster positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Selection criteria
Essential
1. High-level oral and written communication skills for effective and professional communication; and demonstrated competence

in preparing and maintaining documentation with excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
2. Proven ability to research and analyse; with the ability to summarise information succinctly and presenting it accurately in a

manner that is appropriate to the target audience.
3. Demonstrated capability to work with limited supervision and to confidently build positive working relationships with executive

and staff using influencing skills and initiative.
4. Experience in providing project support with well-developed organisational and time management skills with the ability to work

under pressure, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
5. Strong computer skills and experience in using request management system), record managements systems and SharePoint.
6. Demonstrated work ethic and attitude, which emulates DCDD values of commitment to service, innovation, ethical practice,

accountability, impartiality, diversity, and respect.

Desirable
1. Qualifications – Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business or related field.
