Role Overview The Industrial Project Engineer will oversee technical planning, design coordination, and project execution for industrial facilities and systems. This role requires a mix of engineering knowledge, project management skills, and on-site coordination to ensure projects meet operational, safety, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities - Plan, design, and oversee installation and optimization of industrial systems, machinery, and processes - Collaborate with design teams, vendors, contractors, and internal departments to define project scope and specifications - Prepare and review technical drawings, P&IDs, layouts, and engineering documentation - Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery - Monitor on-site activities to ensure compliance with engineering standards, codes, and safety regulations - Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies - Track progress, prepare status reports, and communicate updates to stakeholders - Support commissioning and handover processes, including testing and troubleshooting Qualifications - Bachelor’s / Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (or a related discipline) - 3+ years of experience in project engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment - Solid knowledge of engineering principles, construction processes, and industrial systems - Proficiency in project management tools and engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, Inventor, Advance Steel, Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks, Gantt Charts, MS Project, or Primavera) - Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills - Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment
- Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
Preferred Qualifications - PMP certification is an asset
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies - Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and industrial safety standards
