Primary objective
Coordinate and support the delivery of housing related projects and initiatives across the Housing Program Office.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Identify, review, develop and deliver policies and projects, including organisational improvement initiatives and business
practices across the division, and review and monitor implemented programs and initiatives to ensure continual
improvement and effectiveness.
2. Provide project management support services, advice and support on matters relating to organisational improvement
projects including research and analysis.
3. Research, analyse data, prepare, and edit correspondence, briefings, presentations and undertake special projects related
to housing delivery.
4. Build and maintain collaborative networks and relations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the
achievement of the units and departments objectives.
5. Assist with the planning, development, and implementation of business improvement processes for the Housing Program
Office.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Demonstrated experience in the effective identification, development, delivery, and management of organisational
improvement initiatives.
2. Demonstrated experience in undertaking research and special projects, and sound knowledge of contemporary project
management frameworks, methodologies, tools, and processes relevant to the delivery of complex projects.
3. Demonstrated high-level interpersonal and professional written and oral communication skills, with the ability to build
and maintain relationships and networks in order to provide high quality customer service, together with the ability to
interact effectively with people from diverse cultures.
4. Ability to develop and produce high level correspondence and documentation and maintain quality control.
5. Demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with a range of computer software packages and the ability to adapt to
new systems.
6. Demonstrated strong work ethic, with an ability to set and achieve goals with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and
produce quality work both individually and as a team member.
Desirable
1. Understanding of the challenges facing the delivery of housing programs in remote Northern Territory communities.
