Project Officer (Workplace Compliance)

Employment type: Ongoing Full time
Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8 ($113,574 - $125,720 pa), plus employer’s contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading
Your role
The Project Officer (Workplace Compliance) provides compliance and WHS advisory support across Workplace Transformation Projects and Centrally Managed Workplaces, ensuring DCJ workplaces are safe, compliant, and ready for handover into business‑as‑usual operations.
What you’ll do
The role coordinates workplace compliance activities, including risk assessments, compliance checklists, emergency management requirements, and stakeholder engagement. It supports project teams by applying DCJ policies, maintaining accurate WHS and compliance records, and preparing handover documentation to ensure smooth transition to BAU.
The role sits within Infrastructure & Assets, working closely with Workplace Services, Program Delivery, and Employee Safety & Wellbeing in a collaborative, delivery‑focused environment.
What we’re looking for
The ideal candidate will have experience in workplace compliance, WHS, or project/property environments, with strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to apply policies in practical project settings. Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in WHS, property, and/or project delivery are desirable.
