Job Description
We are seeking a Property Accountant to join our team in Nashville, Tennessee. The role involves the preparation of financial statements for multiple apartment communities, interacting with property and regional managers, and working with Onesite accounting software. This role is a crucial part of our property management team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Responsibilities:• Complete financial statements monthly for a range of apartment communities.• Make necessary accruals and deferrals to adjust the general ledger as required.• Analyze financial statements including Budget Comparison, 12-month trailing, Balance Sheet, and Income Statement to ensure financial information accuracy.• Regularly communicate with property and regional managers about financial information at each property.• Provide explanations for financial statement variances to the CFO and apartment community owners.• Analyze cash/cash needs for apartment communities and approve payables to be processed.• Utilize Onesite accounting software and Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word proficiently.• Perform bank reconciliations and Balance Sheet account reconciliations.• Assist with annual property tax payments.• Complete other assignments as needed.
