Accountants One is working with a Real Estate Client in the Metro Atlanta area looking for a Property Accountant. They just promoted a few individuals internally creating this new opening in the department. This is an organization that likes to develop, mentor, and promote individuals. The role will report to the Senior Property Accountant and Assistant Controller.

The Property Accountant will handle the following:
• Will help prepare monthly operation expense Accruals
• Monthly account reconciliations, review and approve A/P from the properties, journal entries, and running reports, assist with quarterly and annual forecasts and budgets
• Perform ad-hoc research and projects as needed
• Prepare monthly fixed asset roll forwards and coordinate with the fixed asset team
• Work with Treasury on the creation and posting of wire/ACH payments.
• Build a knowledge base around the property management functions and build those internal relationships with the on-site Property Managers

Requirements:
• Bachelor in Accounting a must
• 1- 3 years of accounting experience real estate industry a plus or public accounting
• Strong systems skills using Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Strong written and communication skills
