Job Description
Our client's firm is based in Newcastle CBD, Specialising in the areas of commercial law, commercial litigation, probate, property law and conveyancing and estate planning.
About The Role
The team is looking for an experienced Property Lawyer with at least 2 years+ of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate should be familiar with property law and be able to demonstrate experience of conducting sale and purchases of residential and commercial property from beginning to end.
You will also have the support and access to the partners within the firm for more complex matters.
The position is a permanent full-time position.
Key duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Deal with client/agent/solicitor calls & email enquiries
Prepare draft contracts for sale
Review contracts
Attend to exchange of contracts and settlement
Attending post-exchange matters
Liaising with incoming and outgoing mortgagees
Completing lease transactions
Conducting settlements and preparing settlement figures and documents
Liaising with banks, agents and other stakeholders
Utilising PEXA efficiently and independently
Preferred applicants
Knowledge of Microsoft Office skills
Minimum 2 years+ experience in a similar role
Attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Follow confidentiality protocols when dealing with sensitive information
