The team’s expertise covers a wide array of disputes, including commercial and residential matters such as FTT management orders, property insolvency, possession actions, dilapidations, rent disputes, forfeiture, and property fraud.

The Role

Our client is seeking a Property Litigation Lawyer to join their central Birmingham office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE), though those with more experience are welcome to apply. Depending on your background, you will either work alongside senior team members on complex cases or manage your own caseload independently. The firm places a strong emphasis on flexible working, ensuring that their people can work in a way that suits them, their teams, and their clients. The culture encourages open communication, mutual respect, and active participation from all team members.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality legal work and provide exceptional client service.
Maintain sound financial management, including accurate time recording, billing, and achieving firm-set targets, as well as managing WIP (work in progress).
Contribute to business development efforts, ensuring client retention and expansion of the firm’s client base.
Stay up-to-date with legal developments and maintain technical expertise.
Take ownership of personal professional development, continuously improving interpersonal and soft skills.
Adhere to SRA competence standards and regulatory requirements.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required.

Your Skills and Qualifications

Directly relevant experience in property litigation, with the appropriate level of PQE for the role.
Strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of the client’s business and industry.
Proven track record of competent financial management and ability to meet client expectations.
Good IT skills, with experience using case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft Office.
A self-motivated, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s core values.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking and well-respected Real Estate Disputes team in Birmingham, offering a supportive environment for career growth and development.

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.

Please note that your personal information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
