Property Litigation Associate – Birmingham
About the Team
Our client’s top-tier and highly ranked Real Estate Disputes team advises a diverse range of commercial businesses, institutions, landed estates, and individuals on all aspects of real estate and property disputes. Comprising over 20 dedicated lawyers across 13 UK offices, the team in Birmingham is led by a highly experienced Partner who handles complex, often high-profile litigation. The team’s expertise covers a wide array of disputes, including commercial and residential matters such as FTT management orders, property insolvency, possession actions, dilapidations, rent disputes, forfeiture, and property fraud.
The Role
Our client is seeking a Property Litigation Lawyer to join their central Birmingham office. The ideal candidate will have at least 1+ years of post-qualified experience (PQE), though those with more experience are welcome to apply. Depending on your background, you will either work alongside senior team members on complex cases or manage your own caseload independently. Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality legal work and provide exceptional client service.
Maintain sound financial management, including accurate time recording, billing, and achieving firm-set targets, as well as managing WIP (work in progress).
Contribute to business development efforts, ensuring client retention and expansion of the firm’s client base.
Stay up-to-date with legal developments and maintain technical expertise.
Take ownership of personal professional development, continuously improving interpersonal and soft skills.
Adhere to SRA competence standards and regulatory requirements.
Undertake any other reasonable tasks as required.
Your Skills and Qualifications
Directly relevant experience in property litigation, with the appropriate level of PQE for the role.
Strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of the client’s business and industry.
Proven track record of competent financial management and ability to meet client expectations.
Good IT skills, with experience using case management systems, electronic time recording, and Microsoft Office.
A self-motivated, friendly individual with excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to consistently demonstrate and embody the firm’s core values.
