The opportunity

We are in the market for a suitably qualified, motivate and enthusiastic Property Services Officer who has knowledge of property and leasing management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders and maintains positive working relationships.

As a Property Services Officer, you will assist in the effective administration of the City’s Leases and Licences for City owned and leased properties and administer expressions of interest and permits for the commercial use of City property.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A diploma in property management or related fields.
Substantial experience in a similar role in Local, State or Federal government or in commercial property management.
Previous experience in land administration including property leasing and licensing.
Ability to interpret, understand and explain legal issues relevant to land management issues, town planning matters and property leases/licences is desirable.
Knowledge and application of relevant property legislation including the Land Administration Act 1997, the Local Government Act 1995, the Residential Tenancies Act, Commercial Tenancies Agreements Act 1985 Planning and Development Act 2005 and other associated statutes relevant to land tenure matters.
Knowledge of broader property related issues relating to sale and purchase matters, market knowledge relating to investment issues.
