Position:- Purchase and Cost Accountant

Experience:- 2+ Years

Qualification:- B.Com or Semi Qualified CA

Salary:- 4.00 - 7.00 LPA

Location:- Navi Mumbai (Kopar khairane)

Job Summary:-

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to handle purchase accounting,

perform vouching, support audit readiness, and manage cost center allocations. The ideal

candidate should have a strong understanding of internal controls, procurement processes, and

financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Purchase Accounting & Controls

 Verify and process purchase transactions and vendor invoices.

 Ensure compliance with purchase order terms, GST input credit rules, and payment

terms.

 Coordinate with the procurement team to reconcile GRNs, POs, and invoices.

 Validate purchase orders, goods receipt notes (GRNs), and vendor invoices for raw

materials, spares, consumables, and capital goods.

 Monitor vendor balances, advances, and resolve discrepancies.

2. Vouching and Internal Checks

 Perform detailed vouching of accounting entries, including purchases, expenses, and

fixed assets.

 Ensure appropriate supporting documents (invoices, approvals, contracts) are in place.

 Identify anomalies, errors, or fraudulent transactions and flag them for corrective action.

3. Audit Support (Internal & Statutory)

 Prepare and maintain audit schedules and reconciliations related to purchase and cost

accounts.

 Support internal and external auditors with required documentation and clarifications.

 Implement audit recommendations and strengthen internal controls accordingly.

4. Cost Center Accounting

 Allocate expenses to correct cost centers in accordance with company policies.

 Monitor cost center budgets vs actuals and report variances.

 Assist in financial reporting by preparing cost center-wise P&L statements.

Skills & Competencies:-

 Strong knowledge of AS, Ind AS, GST, and TDS provisions.

 Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)

 Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.

 Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.

 Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
