IP Trading is a cruise-specific broadline distributor focused solely on Food & Beverage. We support cruise line operations with reliable sourcing, competitive pricing, and efficient logistics. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Purchasing Specialist who can help keep our supply chain running smoothly.
Position Overview
The Purchasing Specialist will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing food and beverage products, maintaining vendor relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement to meet operational demands.
This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced supply environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Source and purchase food & beverage products based on company needs
• Communicate with vendors to obtain pricing, availability, and lead times
• Negotiate pricing and terms to ensure cost efficiency
• Create and manage purchase orders
• Track shipments and ensure timely delivery to meet cruise schedules
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and inventory data
• Resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or product quality
• Work closely with operations and logistics teams
Requirements
• 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience
• Experience in food & beverage or distribution preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Excel and purchasing/inventory systems
