The Role
As a Quality Assurance Manager and Individual Contributor for your Agile Development Team, you will have responsibility for Line Managing 2-3 QA Engineers on the Endpoint Privilege Management for Mac product team, whilst developing robust QA Strategies and delivering high quality features to our customers. You will coach and mentor QA team members in order to improve their QA skills, product and domain knowledge, as well as contributing to strategic quality initiatives. We're looking for someone who can challenge and motivate the team to identify areas of potential improvement to drive a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. As an Individual Contributor, you will be involved in the planning and execution of tests against the planned work items on the Sprint. It is expected of the QA Manager to have a strong understanding of all products developed in the department, to offer an expert opinion on risks, integration and system test strategies.
What You’ll Do
• Develop and execute test plans and test cases for new product features
• Work closely with Software Development Managers, team members and other product teams on deliverables
• Assist team in removing roadblocks and issues
• Provide feedback to QA employees during regular one on one meetings, as well as direction and prioritization
• Contribute and improve QA team process
• Involvement in Root Cause Analysis for bugs, identifying and providing improvements to the product and processes
• Complete QA employee yearly reviews
• Provide status updates and feedback on the quality of a release to stakeholders
• Attend management meetings, team planning and retrospective meetings
• Prepare QA Confidence documents for release
• Ensure the QA team have proper resources and process is followed
What You’ll Bring
• Hands on experience in macOS
• Experience using project tracking tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps
• Experience using and managing test tools such as Xray and Test Manager
• Experience with enterprise level applications
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience line managing QA team members
• Strong leadership skills including mentoring and conflict resolution
Nice to have
• Experience using VMware
• Experience in Windows
• Experience testing for security-based software
