We are looking for an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join their experienced team in Auckland, who has the understanding and the ability to accurately interpret client tender documentation.

The Role
Working within the commercial team, you will be responsible for managing the pricing of projects in civil and construction. Some of your key duties will include:
You will be involved in tendering, pricing, and estimation
Cost tracking and cost control
Budget monitoring and forecasting
Progress claims and variations
Stakeholder liaison
Contract administration
Computer literacy
Positive and enthusiastic attitude
Strong work ethic
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to concentrate and focus on the task at hand
The candidate should have the following skills:
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in civil and commercial site work construction, however, other industry sectors will be considered too.
Ideally 5-6 years of experience
Strong Communication and written skills
Ability to read plans and establish variations
Proven experience in Quantity Surveying and Estimation
Be well organized and have strong planning skills
Be computer savvy and have experience with various cost software’s
Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
Be commercially aware and have strong financial acumen
You will need to be a New Zealand Resident, or currently living and eligible to work in New Zealand to be considered.
Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
