Permanent Full Time, $66,000 – $71,000 per year plus superannuation
Latitude Recruitment is pleased to be working with Buloke Shire Council in presenting an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Records Officer.
Location: This position is located in Wycheproof, so candidates should either already live in the area or be open to relocating. Additionally, there are options for working from home and within the office.

Your contribution - Building a Better Buloke: As Records Officer, you will be the key contact for the administration and maintenance of our Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS), ensuring information is accurately recorded and classified according to Council policies. You'll assist in implementing new software and processes, develop efficient records management procedures, and ensure compliance with legislative requirements. Your role will involve providing training and support to staff, promoting best practices, and safeguarding vital records and confidential information.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Assist in implementing software and process changes for new systems
Ensure information is managed according to policy and procedures
Ensure compliance with legislative requirements
Develop and implement procedures and processes for the records team
Maintain knowledge of Council activities
Protect vital records and ensure confidentiality
Provide training and support for records management
Provide monthly reports on operational metrics
Assist in processing Freedom of Information requests

Qualifications and Experience:
Formal qualification or experience in Records management is highly desirable
Experience in managing and supporting staff
Local Government experience preferred but not essential
Current Victorian Drivers Licence and police check
