Location: Houston, TX (in-office with field/client visits as needed)
Job Type: Full-Time (can discuss contract-to-hire)
About the Role
We're hiring a Houston-based Recruiter who can recruit skilled field talent and help drive growth through relationship-based sales. This is a fast-paced oil & gas staffing roleideal for someone who's confident on the phone, strong with people, and comfortable working both the candidate side and the client side.You'll source, screen, and mobilize workers for field projects, while also supporting business development through outbound calls, warm introductions, and account support.
What You'll Do
• Recruit and place oil & gas / industrial field personnel (craft + field services roles)
• Source candidates via calls, texts, referrals, job boards, and database mining
• Run phone screens, verify experience, coordinate next steps, and keep candidates warm
• Support onboarding steps (documents, readiness, basic compliance coordination)
• Maintain accurate candidate notes, status updates, and pipeline activity in the ATS/CRM
• Support sales activity: outbound prospecting, reactivating old accounts, setting meetings
• Communicate professionally with clients about availability, fit, and mobilization timelines
• Work closely with dispatch/ops to fill roles quickly and solve problems in real time
Required Qualifications
• Recruiting experience (staffing agency preferred)
• Sales experience (inside sales, recruiting + sales, or high-volume outbound calling)
• Oil & gas experience (field, services, staffing, or strong industry exposure)
• Bilingual: English + Spanish (professional fluency)
• Strong phone presence: confident, clear, and persistent without being pushy
• Highly organizedcan manage multiple open roles and shifting priorities
• Based in Houston, TX with ability to do occasional client/site visits
Assets (Nice to Have)
• Experience recruiting for roles like: operators, techs, drivers, mechanical/pipe trades, turnaround crews, commissioning/pre-comm scopes
• Existing Houston-area oil & gas network (candidates or clients)
• Familiarity with compliance/onboarding workflows (drug tests, background checks, site requirements)
• Experience with ATS systems (Breezy, Bullhorn, Aviont, etc.)
What Success Looks Like (First 6090 Days)
• Consistent pipeline build (daily outreach, referrals, reactivations)
• Faster time-to-fill on priority roles
• Strong candidate experience (clear comms, fewer fall-offs/no-shows)
• Meaningful contribution to sales activity (meetings set, accounts reactivated, new leads)
Schedule / Work Style
• MondayFriday standard hours with flexibility (early/late calls happen in staffing)
• High urgency environmentwhen the client needs people, we move fast
