Job Description
Permananet , full time
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is the country's largest employer, delivering universal public healthcare to 5 million New Zealanders.
We provide essential hospital, specialist, and community health services across 80+ locations - from large urban centres to rural towns and remote communities.
Our goal is to improve health outcomes for all New Zealanders by delivering equitable, accessible and innovative care.
About the Role
The Enhanced Access Hub Manager is a key member of the regional team responsible for implementing the Government's investment in Health NZ through the Increasing Access to Medicines Initiative.
This initiative is focused on expanding access to cancer treatments by increasing service capacity and delivering care closer to home.
During the initial implementation phase, the Hub Manager will work closely with the national Enhanced Access Clinical Lead and other regional hub managers to establish a nationally consistent framework for delivering enhanced access to systemic anticancer therapy (SACT) and community-referred radiology services.
Following implementation, the role will transition to ongoing regional coordination and system stewardship. This includes maintaining strong relationships with providers, driving continuous service improvement, and identifying opportunities to expand service reach.
Throughout all phases, the Hub Manager will ensure alignment with the nationally agreed service model and contribute to the development of equitable, whānau-centred access pathways across the region.
About you
You bring project or programme management experience, with a proven track record of delivering change programmes and initiatives. You are skilled at building and maintaining positive, productive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, and you work collaboratively to achieve shared outcomes.
You have experience using consumer and whānau insights and experiences to inform and drive meaningful change, ensuring that improvements are grounded in the needs of those accessing services. You also have a sound understanding of basic financial concepts and accounting practices, enabling you to support planning, monitoring and decision-making with confidence.
