Job description
BluOcean is a dynamic technology company focused on building innovative SaaS products in the Cyber Security domain. We are seeking a Product Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team, work with our clients, business stakeholders and cyber security leaders to shape strategic product vision, key use cases and market needs.

As a Product Manager you should have an innovative product mindset to be a highly skilled analyst with a proven ability to strategize the full lifecycle of a product, from conception to release and deliver user experience and grow market share. You will work with cross-functional and engineering teams to drive product-planning and release-planning in close collaboration with business and technology stakeholders. You will also be required to support go-to-market and pre-sales for cyber security and risk product offerings.

Key Responsibilities
• Analyze market gap, assess needs and demand from a ROI and build-vs.-buy perspective.
• Appraise new product ideas and strategize opportunities for differentiation.
• Lead functional use case development, product and feature definition, backlog, strategic roadmap, and backlog for product releases.
• Develop, implement, and maintain production timelines across multiple teams.
• Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product and market research, competitor analysis, planning, positioning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch.
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by engineering teams.
• Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI.
• Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams in the development, QA, and release of products, and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization.
• Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates offerings across primary market segments.

Required Skills and Qualifications
• 5+ years of exp. in working with SaaS applications, including knowledge of user experience design.
• Analytical thinker who can formulate vision, structure thoughts and articulate ideas in a simple manner.
• Comfortable working in an ambiguous, fast paced environment.
• Organized, structured individual who has working experience with scrum methodology and working with global teams.
• Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
• Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle.
• High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies.
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills.
• Solid understanding of SaaS application business model
• Solid understanding of cyber security and risk management best practices.
• Proven ability to manage a team, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Ability to establish best practices for written communication and promote the use of templates and tools to maintain high-quality deliverables.
• Strong listening and questioning skills, with the ability to manage challenging situations and influence decision-making.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Collaborative mindset, actively involving others to leverage strengths and address development needs.

Preferred Skills
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in product design or engineering
• MBA (or equivalent) in marketing and strategy
• Proven prior success in SaaS product management
• Science and engineering background or equivalent
