We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounting Manager/Controller to join our progressive technology company. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled finance professional to lead our accounting department. The Permanent Controller will oversee all financial operations, including AP, AR, payroll, tax, and budgeting. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our financial processes, upholding GAAP standards, and utilizing Netsuite for financial management. This is a critical role that will contribute to the financial strategy and growth of our company.
Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of accounting operations, including AP, AR, payroll, tax, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
• Utilize Netsuite for financial management and reporting.
• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to define financial strategy and planning.
• Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and department budgets.
• Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization.
• Enhance and implement financial and accounting systems, processes, tools, and control systems.
• Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors; manage preparation and support of all external audits.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Experience in a fast-growing startup
• Experience in a SaaS or Fintech company
• CPA certification and/or assurance experience (Big 4 or similar) highly preferred
• Proficiency in Netsuite or similar financial management software preferred
• Experience in managing AP, AR, payroll, tax, and budgeting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Exceptional leadership abilities with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, complex situations, and deliver results on time.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
