Job Description
A fast-emerging company developing data tools for next generation Machine Learning teams, is looking for a Front-end Developer. The selected candidate will play a foundational role in designing, building, and scaling the products and team. The company is backed by AI execs from Apple along with leading academics from Stanford and is on the path to revolutionizing the ML industry with their advanced tooling aimed to massively improve efficiencies, reduce costs and mitigate data biases across healthcare, financial services, insurance etc. This is an excellent chance to work with a team of highly-professional and experienced members who have previously worked with firms like Apple, Google, Stanford, etc. This role requires 8+ hours of overlap with the PST time zone.
Job Responsibilities:
• Work on designing, building, and scaling existing and new products
• Work on solving complex problems at the intersection of data and ML
• Lead development of user-friendly web applications
• Be a part of every phase of software delivery including design, development, testing & support
• Collaborate with product teams and different stakeholders to understand and provide updates related to progress
• Understand and develop responsive solutions for web-based applications
• Maintain and fine-tune applications for maximum speed
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to efficiently drive improvements
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 3+ years of experience in building UI for Machine Learning or data products
• Must possess expertise in working with Typescript and JavaScript
• Prior knowledge of developing front-end for data products
• Strong experience of working with React and React Native
• In-depth knowledge of utilizing different tools in the React ecosystem to manage state, hooks, component libraries, events, and content with ease
• Experience in developing clear API-client interfaces
• In-depth knowledge of working with Git and GitHub
• Prior experience of deploying front-end applications to AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure (both dynamic and static front-end applications) will be a big bonus
• Ability to quickly develop prototypes using Figma to exchange ideas with back-end, design, and product team members
• Eagerness to work in a startup mindset with an inclination towards well-planned action with minimal direction
