We are seeking a Research Projects Support Coordinator to join our Research team and support the delivery of meaningful, Yolŋu-led research across remote communities in East Arnhem Land. Working closely with the Research Manager, you will help plan, coordinate and monitor a diverse portfolio of research projects, supporting their progression against key milestones. This role offers the opportunity to build strong, respectful relationships with community members and researchers, promote collaboration and co-design, and support Yolŋu researchers through training, mentoring and development pathways. This is a part-time, fixed term contract with a 1 – 2 years employment term based on the project timeline.
What’s in it for you?
Competitive annual salary based on classification and experience:
AO6 $111,217 - $124,332 per annum + 12% superannuation
Ability to Salary Package up to $15,900 + additional $2,650 on Meals and Entertainment

Miwatj Health is an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service. Established in 1992, we’re committed to providing quality services across East Arnhem Land and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. Miwatj provides culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary and public health for over 6,000 residents of this remote landscape. With a Head Office in Nhulunb uy, and a Corporate Office in Darwin, our delivery is focused on 7 health centres across East Arnhem Land and dedicated outreach teams who travel to additional locations.
What we’re looking for in you!
To be successful in this role, you will bring an understanding of and commitment to Aboriginal community control and self-determination, along with an appreciation of the experiences of Yolŋu people living in remote settings. You will have experience working in a similar role within an Aboriginal community, demonstrate strong teamwork, sound judgement and initiative, and be well organised with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. An understanding of Yolŋu culture and governance systems is essential. A current NT Ochre Card (Working with Children’s Check) and a valid driver’s licence are required.
