We are seeking a Research Scientist to undertake advanced analysis of a large, established dataset in neurological disease. The role is centred on rigorous statistical interrogation of an integrated database comprising clinical, demographic, and high-resolution eye-tracking data to identify clinically meaningful biomarkers, rather than primary data collection. This position can be performed primarily remotely, with flexibility for periodic in-person collaboration as required.
The ideal candidate will hold an MD or Honours degree (PhD preferred) and have strong expertise in statistical methods, particularly logistic regression, multivariate modelling, and analysis of complex clinical datasets. Proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, Python, or equivalent) is essential. A demonstrated track record of peer-reviewed publications and experience conducting high-quality literature reviews are required.
Key qualities include analytical precision, intellectual curiosity, and the ability to translate statistical findings into clinically relevant insights. The candidate must be methodologically rigorous, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary, translational research environment.
