This full-time, hybrid position reports directly to the Resilience Water Management Practice Director and can be based anywhere in the United States where Arcadis has an active office.

As the National Practice Leader, you will collaborate with the Practice Director and leaders across every Arcadis division to create innovative strategies, partnerships, and value propositions to help capital projects, infrastructure, and resilience initiatives advance nationwide. You will obtain an understanding of clients' funding, finance, and implementation blockers and needs, examine emerging issues and market trends, innovative possibilities and alternative project delivery options, evaluate partners and competitors, mentor others, and provide technical support to team leads and practitioners. The role will explore and implement emerging funding models, such as blended finance, outcome-based contracts, and incentives, while also driving success through more traditional approaches (e.g., grants and bonds). It will help clients, partners, and Arcadis develop and implement plans to maximize success.

Success in this role will be measured by project advancement, the number of new partnerships, new markets, market reputation, the value of order intake, and revenue growth attributable to new funding mechanisms, as well as a reduction in project delays due to resolved bottlenecks.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with practitioners and technical experts to ensure strong coordination across the National Funding Team, while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a thought leader within the industry.

Key responsibilities include:
• Identifying and resolving obstacles to project advancement, including funding gaps, permitting challenges, and partnership issues.
• Building technical expertise in both traditional and emerging mechanisms to accelerate critical client projects and community improvements.
• Serving as Pursuit Lead for major and strategic initiatives, including those reviewed by the Pursuit Committee.
• Leading thought leadership efforts in collaboration with Communities of Practice, practitioners, the Practice Director, and the Growth team, while representing Arcadis at national forums.
• Providing mentoring, technical support, and participating in recruitment and staffing strategies to strengthen team capabilities and maintain national practice excellence.

This role also includes oversight of quality control, escalation of issues to senior leadership as needed, and approximately 40% in-person engagement for client meetings and project coordination activities.

Key Skills and Attributes:

The ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of funding pursuits, program development, and/or grants and program management, including the tools, techniques, and methodologies needed to achieve successful outcomes. Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to articulate client perspectives and convey thought leadership effectively. You must be able to clearly communicate strategic value to client executives and stakeholders, while demonstrating a proven ability to implement innovative funding and implementation initiatives that drive client success. The role also requires the ability to lead and motivate teams by influence, fostering collaboration and engagement across diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience:

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in a related field
• 10 years of experience leading funding and implementation-related efforts, such as grants, revenue, finance, or supporting policy and initiative implementation
