The Court and Justice Services (CJS) Division provides a wide range of resolution and court services for people involved in legal disputes. In collaboration with the courts of Alberta, Court and Justice Services provides various programs and services including educating and helping Albertans finding solutions for legal issues, navigating the court system, offering programs at no cost or a nominal charge, and administrative support to all courts in Alberta.

As a Resolution Services Program Support, you will assist the daily operations of Resolution Services Programs, ensuring their effective function and delivery, while acting as a “frontline” representative of Alberta Justice.


You will play a key role in the following:

Answering general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders and clients in person, by telephone and through written correspondence regarding Resolution Services programs and related policies and procedures.
Scheduling Resolution Services matters and program services in coordination with service users, staff, and external service providers, and in consideration of available infrastructure, and resources, including managing reschedules and cancellations.
Completing administrative duties, including preparing and filing documents or correspondence on behalf of Resolution Services programs to facilitate court procedures and serve as a liaison with other program stakeholders.
Recording and tracking case file information, including outcome data, in an organized and accessible manner to ensure that program information and statistics are easily accessed.

Qualifications
Requirements: High school diploma and three (3) years of related experience in office administration, customer service in a professional setting, and/or in the legal field; or equivalent as described below.


Equivalency: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
1 year of experience for 1 year of education.


Assets

Preference will be given to candidates with the following:

A legal background, including related education and/or work experience.
Working knowledge of Adobe and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
Working knowledge of family court processes and procedures related to family matters.
Working knowledge of alternative dispute resolution processes.
Frontline experience working with individuals who are volatile, vulnerable, in conflict, or in dispute, demonstrating strong conflict resolution and de‑escalation skills.

Position Information:

This is for one full-time, permanent position.
Location: Edmonton or any location within the Northern Region of Alberta (St. Paul, Peace River, Hinton, High Prairie, or Fort McMurray)
The hours of work for this position are Monday to Friday, 8:15AM-4:30PM, 36.25 hours a week.


Final candidates will be required to undergo a security screening.
