SRM Limited, operating a liquor store, is seeking a Retail Assistant to join its team in the Wellington region. This role is ideal for candidates who are motivated, flexible, and ready to contribute to a fast-paced retail environment. You may be required to work across multiple store locations within the region.
Key duties will include-
Label and stock products to ensure they are properly displayed and always available for customers.
Restock shelves promptly with items purchased from local suppliers or received from deliveries.
Provide excellent customer service to assist customers in purchasing the right products with ease.
Contribute to daily sales goals and meet key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely replenishment of products.
Assist with store opening, preparing the premises for business hours.
Secure the store at closing, including locking doors and bringing in equipment, stock, and displays.
Process customer payments accurately using multiple payment methods.
Visit suppliers to pick up essential items when required and maintain stock levels, provided you hold a valid driver’s License.
Ensure the store is clean and well-maintained throughout the day.
Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and will be paid between $24 to $28 per hour based on your skills and background.
Other Requirements:
Relevant work experience is preferred, but not mandatory- as we provide full training.
You should be available to work on weekends.
You should be available to work late evenings.
A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
Physically fit to stand for extended periods.
Strong team player with a positive, proactive attitude.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a dynamic environment.
