Upper Atmosphere is hiring experienced retail professionals to fly into New Orleans for 5–7 days and help rebuild operations, hire, train, and reset our two fashion boutique locations.
This is a high-impact, short-term leadership role — you’re not just assisting. You’re stepping in to help fix structure, train staff, and support the store owner directly.

Overview
Are you ready to lead dynamic, short-term store resets and transform retail spaces with energy and precision? As a Retail Operations Fixer / Short-Term Store Reset Lead, you will travel to various retail locations, executing comprehensive store resets, reorganizations, and merchandising updates. This paid, short-term role offers an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact on store presentation and operations while working in a fast-paced, energetic environment. Your expertise will ensure stores are optimized for sales, customer experience, and operational efficiency.
Duties
Assist with hiring and onboarding new team members
Train current staff on customer experience and sales
Reset store layout, backstock, and visuals
Create and post open/close checklists
Build a daily structure the team can follow after you leave
Lead and coordinate short-term store reset projects across multiple locations, ensuring timely and accurate execution of merchandising plans.
Oversee inventory management activities including stock replenishment, inventory control, and product placement to maximize sales potential.
Operate RF scanners, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and other warehouse equipment safely to load, unload, and move merchandise efficiently.
Conduct thorough shipping & receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and proper storage of goods.
Perform heavy lifting and physical tasks such as unpacking shipments, stocking shelves, packaging products, and maintaining cleanliness of the store environment.
Implement merchandising standards by organizing produce sections, setting up displays, and maintaining overall store appearance.
Communicate effectively with store staff and team members in multiple languages if applicable to ensure smooth operations and adherence to planograms.
Qualifications
Proven experience in retail sales, grocery stores, or warehouse environments with strong organizational skills.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and the use of RF scanners for tracking stock movement.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; experience operating forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus (certification preferred).
Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual abilities are highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, shipping & receiving processes, and retail math principles.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail.
Physical stamina for long periods of standing, walking, lifting heavy items, and performing maintenance or cleaning tasks.
