Key Responsibilities For The Revenue Cycle Manager
• Oversight and Management of AR and Collections:
• Lead and manage the accounts receivable team to ensure timely and accurate collections.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize the revenue cycle and reduce outstanding receivables.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on the effectiveness of collection efforts.
• Billing and Claims Processing:
• Oversee the billing process, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
• Manage the submission and follow-up of claims, particularly for Medicare and Medicaid.
• Resolve billing and reimbursement issues, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaboration and Best Practices:
• Work with department managers to develop and implement best practices in revenue cycle management.
• Provide training and support to staff on billing procedures, compliance, and efficiency improvements.
• Foster a collaborative environment to improve communication and coordination across departments.
• Core Accounting Skills and Financial Oversight:
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze financial data related to the revenue cycle and provide insights to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications For The Revenue Cycle Manager
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid billing and regulations.
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 (depending on experience)
