Job Description

We have an incredible opportunity for a passionate, self-motivated individual to join our finance team based at our Fremantle office. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role will partner with leaders to identify, assess and manage risk, ensure effective control design and monitoring, and support compliance with environmental, food quality, safety and other regulatory obligations.

The Opportunity:
The Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for supporting and recommending improvements to the group risk management activities as well as general compliance administration with the various operating licenses and reporting requirements which the Craig Mostyn Group must satisfy.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee the central risk register system, ensuring accuracy, completeness and data integrity.
Facilitate risk identification and assessment workshops with leaders including providing practical guidance to leaders on identifying, assessing and documenting risks.
Ensure risks are appropriately assessed using risk methodology (likelihood, consequence, inherent and residual risk).
Monitor and track risk treatment plans and control implementation.
Support compliance with environmental, food safety, quality, workplace health & safety and other applicable legislation.
Assist in maintaining compliance registers and obligation tracking systems.
Monitor regulatory changes and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Ensure corrective actions are implemented and closed out in a timely manner.
Prepare risk management and compliance reports and dashboards for Executive and Board.

About you:

Minimum 3 years’ experience in a risk, compliance and governance role in manufacturing, agriculture or food processing.
Tertiary qualifications in Risk Management, Business, Commerce or related discipline.
Strong understanding of risk management principles and control frameworks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing executive-level reports.
Well-developed stakeholder engagement skills.
