Roles & Responsibility
Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sales Accountant to join our finance team. Theideal candidate will manage sales accounting, credit reconciliation, cash flow, and ensure tax andcompliance requirements are met. This role demands strong analytical skills, accuracy, and the abilityto work collaboratively with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:• Sales Accounting:o Manage and record daily sales transactions accurately.o Reconcile customer accounts, ensuring credit reconciliation processes are followedefficiently.o Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely collections and resolvingdiscrepancies.• Credit Control & Reconciliation:o Monitor outstanding debts and follow up with customers for timely payments.o Establish and maintain credit limits in line with company policies.o Investigate discrepancies and coordinate with clients and internal teams for promptresolution.o Maintain detailed records of invoices, payments, and account adjustments.• Cash Flow Management:o Monitor and forecast cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available foroperational needs.o Collaborate with relevant teams to manage incoming and outgoing cash effectively.o Identify potential cash flow risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.• Tax & Compliance:o Reconciliation of GST, TDS, and other tax-related filings to ensure compliance withstatutory regulations.
o Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports related to salestransactions.• Collaboration & Support:o Collaborate with internal teams to resolve billing issues and customer queries.o Assist in month-end closing activities and reporting requirements.• Documentation & Controls:o Maintain proper documentation and ensure adherence to internal controls andpolicies.
Requirements
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.• Proven experience in sales accounting, credit reconciliation, tax compliance, and cash flowmanagement.• Strong understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards.• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:• Experience in the FMCG or retail industry.• Knowledge of ERP systems.
