Job Description
We are seeking an analytical minded, customer oriented technical SAP Basis Administrator to administer and support Oracle databases and SAP systems on the Window & UNIX servers at Vistex, ideally with 4 years experience. The main priority will be to promptly resolve any Oracle database and SAP system related issues and take care of the Data Center operations and management. This position will report to the SAP Basis Manager.
Responsibilities:
• SAP Basis Administration for SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP NetWeaver, SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Content Server, SAP Solution Manager and SAP TREX systems
• SAP System copy – homogeneous migration and heterogeneous migration
• SAP Transport Management System
• SAP Enhancement Package installation
• SAP Release upgrades
• SAP Unicode Migration
• Applying SAP Support Packages and SP Stack
• SAP Add-on installation and Add-ons upgrade.
• Applying SAP OSS notes
• SAP Systems performance fine-tuning
• Oracle Database Administration
• Oracle Database upgrade
• Applying Oracle Patch set and interim patches
• Resolving Oracle Database problem and Database fine-tuning.
• SAP ERP, SAP CRM, SAP NW, SAP Content Server and SAP TREX installation
• SAP Kernel upgrade
• Configuring SAP Transport Management System
• SAP User Administration
• SAP Security Administration – Managing SAP Job Roles
• SAP System Monitoring
• SAP Maintenance Optimizer
• SAP Client Copy, Client export and client import.
• Configure and Monitor SAP Router and SAP OSS connectivity
• Investigate, resolve and document Oracle database problems
• Execute Data Center operational activities
• Monitor and carry out performance fine-tuning on Window and / or UNIX servers
• Monitor server backup jobs scheduled using Symantec Backup Executive software
• Perform other duties as assigned
