Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) is seeking eligible Officers to fill three vacancies for the position of Deputy Judge Attorney General (Deputy Commandant) on a deputation/re-employment basis. Candidates from various government sectors with a degree in Law from a recognized university can apply.

a) By Deputation/Absorption:
Officers from the following categories are eligible:
• Central Government
• State Government
• Union Territories
• Central Armed Police Forces including Sashastra Seema Bal
Applicants must possess a degree in Law from a recognized University or its equivalent. The following conditions apply:
• Holding an analogous post in Level-11 of the pay matrix on a regular basis in the parent cadre or Department, OR
• An officer who is a member of the State Judicial Service holding an analogous post in Level-11 of the pay matrix with a minimum of six years of experience in dealing with legal matters/court cases, OR
• Having six years of regular service in the grade of Assistant Commandant or equivalent in Level-10 of the pay matrix, with a minimum of five years of experience in dealing with legal matters/court cases.
b) By Deputation or Re-employment of Released or Retired Armed Forces Officers:
• Officers in the rank of Major or equivalent in the Department of Judge Advocate General in Army/Navy/Air Force are eligible.
• Those due to retire or to be transferred to reserve within a year will also be considered.
