Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized academic support to students across various subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong teaching skills, experience working with diverse learners, and a passion for helping students achieve their educational goals. This role involves utilizing learning technology, developing curriculum, and creating engaging lesson plans to foster student success in both classroom and one-on-one settings.
Duties
Deliver individualized tutoring sessions in subjects such as Reading , Writing, or other core areas, adapting methods to meet each student's needs
Utilize learning technology and digital tools to enhance instructional delivery and student engagement
Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
Assess student progress regularly and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Support adult education programs by providing tailored instruction for adult learners seeking skill development or continuing education
Assist in curriculum development efforts to improve instructional materials and resources
Demonstrate strong presentation skills to effectively communicate concepts and motivate students
Maintain detailed records of student performance and provide feedback to students and parents as appropriate
Requirements
Proven experience working with students in educational settings, including classroom management and lesson planning skills
Strong background in Reading, Writing, or relevant subject areas, with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly
Experience with tutoring, classroom experience, or special education is preferred
Familiarity with learning technology tools and digital platforms used for instruction
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage learners of various ages and backgrounds
Ability to develop curriculum tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple sessions effectively
Strong writing skills for documentation and feedback purposes
Prior experience in adult education or classroom management is a plus
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 16 per week
