Job Description
Black & Grey HR has formed a strategic alliance with a prominent lighting solutions provider that specialises in the production and global distribution of environmentally-friendly LED lighting solutions. Our client is looking for a highly motivated and dynamic individual to join their team as Head of Finance based in Bangalore, India.
Key Responsibilities:
• Experience in developing and implementing forecasting models, assessing investment risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance in accounting activities.
• Proficient in crafting financial strategies and leading accounting teams.
• Responsible for generating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial forecasts.
• Implement internal controls in line with company policies and update them as needed.
• Develop internal control policies, procedures, and financial plans as required.
• Oversee the Accounts team, including resource allocation and cash flow management.
• Establish secure procedures for maintaining confidential information.
• Oversee credit and collection activities to improve current accounts and reduce DSO.
• Implement LEAN concepts in financial processes for continuous improvement and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal audits.
• Provide financial advice to board members and assist with financial decision-making.
• Conduct business and SWOT analysis.
• Verify financial information for regulatory compliance.
• Enforce compliance with KYC regulations.
• Establish and implement financial policies and systems.
• Monitor segregation of duties and conduct necessary reviews.
• Perform ad-hoc analysis of operating performance.
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget.
Requirements
• A minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in Head of Finance position.
• Brings proven experience as a Head of Finance or in a similar role.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
• Holds an MSc/MBA or relevant certification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Possesses a strong commitment to ethics and can be relied upon to uphold financial integrity, while also being disciplined and compliant with company regulations and policies.
• Exhibits strong interpersonal and leadership abilities, including the ability to manage the accounting department effectively.
• Displays impressive verbal and written communication skills.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
