The role
We're hiring a student to take ownership of two recurring streams of work:
1. Customer security questionnaires. When prospects evaluate Law Cyborg, their security teams send detailed questionnaires (often 100+ questions) covering our infrastructure, data handling, and policies. You will draft answers from our knowledge base, flag gaps for the CTO to review, and turn each completed questionnaire into reusable content for the next one.
2. ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR and SOC 2 policy paperwork. We maintain continuous compliance with all frameworks via Vanta. You will help keep policies current, gather evidence for controls, complete vendor risk assessments, and chase down small remediation tasks.
What you'll learn
How modern SaaS companies handle infosec and compliance
ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR and SOC 2 frameworks in practice, not just theory
Vendor risk management, GRC tooling (Vanta), and security policy authoring
Working alongside engineering, sales, and leadership at a scaleup
What we're looking for
Currently studying: Law, IT/security, or a related field
Strong written English. Able to translate technical answers into clear prose
Detail-obsessed
High Agency
Comfortable asking questions and working independently
Bonus: prior exposure to ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR, SOC 2, NIST, or Privacy Act compliance
Logistics
20 hours per week, flexible across weekdays
