• Receive, authenticate, and vet visitors entering an installation.

• This position is covered by the 1++6 Lautenberg Amendment to the gun control act of 1+68. Persons convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are not eligible for this position.
• This is a drug testing position. Must submit to a urinalysis on a recurring basis, in accordance with Army Regulation 600-85.
• Must obtain and maintain requirements of Individual Reliability Program (IRP) in accordance with Army Regulation AR 1+0-56.
• Shift work is required, or a change in work shift may be necessary. Hours of work encompass fluctuating tours of duty to include evenings, nights, weekends and holidays. Overtime pay be required.

Qualifications

Competition for Security Guard positions is restricted by law to persons entitled to veterans' preference as long as such applicants are available for appointment. Applicants that are not entitled to veteran's preference will only be considered if applicants entitled to veteran's preference are not available for appointment.
