Job Title: Portfolio Staff Accountant (Denver Based)
Department: Accounting Reports to: Portfolio Controller FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Paid to do: The Portfolio Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various accounting tasks to support assigned properties within the Select Services portfolio. This position will work closely with other members of the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Prepare and post month-end journal entries to the general ledger.
· Prepare and reconcile bank statements and other balance sheet accounts (including intercompany accounts).
· Process accounts payable, expense reports, and statement reconciliations.
· Prepare, audit, and post the daily revenue reconciliation.
· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
· Participate in the preparation of financial statements and other reports as needed.
· Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Next Level Duties:
· Assist with external audits and other financial reviews.
· Assist with payroll processing as needed.
· Assistance with capital project accounting.
· Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with GAAP, USALI, accounting principles, and regulations.
· Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

· Prefer a bachelor’s degree with a major in business, finance, accounting (or relevant post graduate education), but not required.
