Responsibilities:
As a Self-Assessment Team Member at TaxAssist Accountants, your role will encompass a variety of tasks, including:
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns for our clients and submitting them for approval.
- Preparing Basic Sole Trader Accounts and Tax Returns.
- Assisting with VAT return preparations and accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
- Assisting with the preparation of Let Property Campaign Disclosures and Capital Gains Tax computations for 60-day investment property returns.
- Liaising with HMRC on various matters, including inquiries and investigations.
- Assisting with general administrative duties, such as meeting and greeting clients, filing, answering telephone calls, and supporting the team to meet deadlines and manage client expectations.
Key Qualities:
- Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor.
- AAT part-qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
