SEND Senior Assessment Coordinator / Senior Inclusion OfficerLocation: Bristol, Hybrid workingContract Type: TemporaryWorking Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday

The RoleAs a key member of our SEND team, you will act as the main point of contact for children and young people with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) and their families. Your role will include:* Coordinating EHCP Activities: Oversee assessment, planning, and review processes to ensure children's needs are identified, met, and outcomes achieved.* Building Collaborative Networks: Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including social workers, educational psychologists, and healthcare professionals, to deliver a person-centered approach.* Promoting Inclusion: Advise and support schools, settings, and families to foster inclusive environments.* Managing Casework: Take responsibility for your caseload, ensuring timely and high-quality responses to statutory deadlines and family needs.* Training and Development: Deliver training to stakeholders, driving forward best practices in SEND and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities* Act as the single point of contact for children, young people, and families navigating the EHCP process.* Facilitate joint assessment processes, ensuring statutory compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and the Children and Families Act.* Support children's transitions between non-statutory and statutory services, maintaining high standards of care and monitoring.* Provide advice and support to education professionals and families, fostering early identification of SEND.* Manage budgets and contribute to strategic planning and commissioning.* Lead on inclusive practice by developing and implementing innovative solutions in response to operational needs.* Handle queries, complaints, and correspondence with professionalism and sensitivity.

What We're Looking For* A deep understanding of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice and Children and Families Act.* Proven experience in coordinating complex multi-agency plans or similar roles.* Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with families, professionals, and services.* Excellent organizational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.* A commitment to promoting inclusion and championing the needs of children and young people.
