Our Client is a leading hospitality company in Oceania Region with 40+ years of association with global hotel brands including IHG, Accor & Hilton.
Their investment & expertise range from Construction, Ownership & Management of diverse hospitality assets such as Hotels, Event Centres, Serviced & Residential Apartments.
About the Role
The primary responsibility is to close & report on the books of accounts in an accurate, timely and efficient way.
As the gatekeeper of month end closing and reporting function, he/she will be expected establish and ensure adherence to various accounting and reporting controls.
The role involves working closely with the accounting team, site managers, senior management & other stakeholders to delivery financial reports and insights as required by the management from time to time.
KRAs
Accounting & Reporting
Ensure that the Balance Sheet of each Property/Entity reflects the accurate financial position of the business as on the reporting date.
Work closely with various stakeholders to review prior period information and records to ensure that any unreconciled accounts are brought up to date.
Ensure that all financial information is received, posted, reconciled & reviewed in a timely manner.
Draft provisional entries for accruals, prepayments, period closing & consolidation and post them on approval.
Preparation of draft financial statements & consolidated accounts for Management review
Supporting in budgeting and forecasting activities including its revisions
Analysing and reporting variances as part of monthly reporting
Providing timely and accurate response to the data and financial information requests from senior management.
Candidate Requirements
Required:
5-6 years of core finance experience of which 2 years of Financial Reporting, Monthly Closures and Finalisation.
Excellent knowledge of the Accounting Platforms and experience working on cloud based/ERP platforms.
Good knowledge of MS Excel functionalities
Behavioral Competencies:
High level of integrity while handling confidential information with both internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work in a collaborative work environment with flexibilities to support team and client requirements as needed.
Possess excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
Ability to plan, organise and execute effectively.
Qualifications:
CAs with 1-2 years’ post-qualification experience or CA intermediate with 4-5 years of experience.
Commerce graduates with 5-6 years of Experience.
