Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with a minimum of 10 years of hands-on accounting experience for US-based companies. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), be proficient in using accounting software and tools, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Responsibilities:
• - Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and for portfolio of companies
- Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, income statements, and other financial reports in compliance with US GAAP.
- Perform complex reconciliations of accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established guidelines.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and adjustments.
- Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff, fostering their professional development and growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data for decision-making.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, offering insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with internal controls.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards, adapting practices accordingly.
- Interact with clients to address inquiries, provide financial insights, and offer recommendations for improving financial processes.
- Assist in the implementation and enhancement of accounting systems and tools.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and overall effectiveness of the accounting department.
• Qualifications:
• - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CA or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience within US-based companies.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
