The Senior Staff Accountant will be supported by a tenured leadership team, and will have the opportunity to expand and gain exposure in new areas of accounting.
This is a full-time, on-site opportunity, 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday through Friday.

As a Senior Accountant, you will be a key player in our dynamic, agile finance team. This role is responsible for managing a wide range of financial tasks, including reconciling, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, GAAP, budgets, journal entries, audit, and analyzing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles and a keen eye for detail. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to our strategic direction and help shape our financial future. Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports regarding net revenue losses, operating costs, and other expenses.
• Analyze and interpret financial data and provide insights to the management for decision making.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up support.
• Ensure all financial practices are in line with all statutory legislation and regulations.
• Assist in the budget process, expense and income forecasting.
• Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
• Collaborate with team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls, ensuring they are effective.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
• 2+ years of proven experience in professional accounting or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills.
• Experience with accounting software, like Quickbooks and SAP.
• Excellent mathematical skills and an understanding of data privacy standards.
• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
