Job Details
Senior Accountant
Major Accountabilities The Senior Accountant is responsible for administering the daily accounting functions of the Company. This includes, but is not limited to, analyzing material, labor, or other expenses to determine production costs, cost of sales, or other cost-related performance measures.
Results and Expectations
• Maintain secure records in either hardcopy or electronic form
• Capture and classify cost data to determine the cost associated with products/product lines, projects, or departments
• Compare actual costs to historical or projected costs and reports on variance
• Prepare various financial statements and reports, invoices and reconciliations
• Provide cost-related data in support of business decisions or for use in financial reporting
• Maintain general and subsidiary ledgers, accounts receivable, revenue distribution, depreciation, cost, property, and operating expenses
• Assist the purchasing department personnel in establishing and maintaining a positive vendor relations experience
• Participate in or oversee regular inventory cycle counts
• Track purchase orders, sales orders, and be able to measure these quantities at any given time and communicate to supervisors
• Process invoices in accordance with procedures and expense guidelines
• Exhibit professional, office appropriate demeanor and appearance
• Perform other duties as assigned
Education/Training, Skills, And Experience Required
• Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in accounting from four-year college or university, and 4-6 year’s related experience in manufacturing and cost accounting
• Robust experience with NetSuite
• Proficiency with Google software including, but not limited to, Sheets, Docs, Gmail, etc., with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, QuickBooks, and Shopify
