Senior Accountant
Are you an experienced Accountant or Finance Controller looking for your next career move? Look no further! Our client, a growing consumer manufacture is looking to grow their team! The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the companys financial reporting systems.
This person will take ownership for every aspect that goes into producing an organization's report, from cost-productivity and margins all the way down to expenditures.
Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities :
• Oversee all accounting practices and ensure compliance with accounting policies and federal and state accounting regulations
• Ensure maintenance of appropriate internal financial controls
• Support end-to-end accounting needs from invoice entry, reconciliation, and other required AR and AP activities daily and weekly
• Responsible for entering transactions (AP / AR) and creating journal entries
• Reconcile accounts and perform all other duties required to close the books monthly / quarterly / annually
• Prepare end-of-month close in adherence to policies
• Monitor accounting activity and ensure compliance with GAAP and corporate governance procedures
• Prepare an annual budget and update the budget as necessary throughout the year
• Monitor and manage cash flow and bank balances
• Make decisions or recommendations regarding transfers
• Ensure effective utilization of cash balances
• Oversee wire and other fund transfers
• Prepare external reports for government agencies, internal auditors and external financial reports and
• Act as a liaison with a CPA firm regarding tax matters and
• File all required Sales and Use Tax returns
Qualifications :
• Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or other relevant field
• 3+ years of experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to close books and perform transaction accounting
• Strong knowledge in A / P, A / R
• Strong communication skills throughout all levels of the organization, both written and verbal
• Must be proficient in MS Office software, ERP platforms and Oracle NetSuite ERP
Schedule : 8am to 4pm or +am to 5 pm (Monday Friday)
Base Salary : Starting at $70,000k
Location : Westfield, IN
