Rago/Wright is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Payable / Receivable Accountant to join our collaborative and fast-paced team.

The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of accounting principles, particularly in A/P and A/R, with excellent reconciliation skills and the ability to manage complex financial transactions across multiple business entities. We’re also looking for a candidate that adapts well to frequent change, seeing new challenges as an opportunity to innovate, grow and make a positive impact. This is a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our accounting department by managing accounts payable and receivable tasks, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.
This is a hybrid role, with a minimum of three to four days per week on-site in the office.
Responsibilities:
Respond to and resolve accounts payable and receivable inquires and issues
Manage and record payments through various methods including credit card, check, ACH or wire transfer
Accurately enter vendor bills, credit card expenses, and expense reports into accounting system
Ensure all bank transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled daily to maintain accurate account balances, including identifying and resolving discrepancies when necessary
Perform daily review of previous and current day financial reports
Review monthly credit card statements to complete reconciliations, requesting supporting documentation from employees and enter missing recurring expenses, when necessary
Assist with IRS tax filings such as Form 8300 and 1099 filings
Qualifications:
5-7+ years of experience in accounting or finance
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Proficient Accountant and sound understanding of financial statements
Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
Experience performing bank reconciliations with attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with ERP systems preferred, especially Quick Books online
Excellent organizational, and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization
Comfort with and interest in a rapidly changing environment
Experience working within auction, luxury e-commerce, or fine arts industries a bonus
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually, depending on experience and skillset
