Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our team in Ahmedabad on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have between 7 to 10 years of experience in the field, specializing in financial reporting, budgeting, financial analysis, and more. This senior-position role demands a thorough understanding of GAAP and practical experience in CPA-certified practices.
Qualifications and Skills
• Minimum 7 to 10 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
• Strong financial reporting skills for preparing comprehensive financial statements.
• Proven expertise in budgeting, highlighting variance analysis and cost management.
• Profound knowledge in financial analysis to evaluate financial performance and profitability.
• Experience in account reconciliation to ensure accuracy between internal financial records and external statements.
• Solid background in tax preparation, including compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
• Able to provide audit support, responding to audit inquiries efficiently.
• Familiarity with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to ensure all financial practices are in compliance.
• CPA Certification is a must, validating the ability to perform high-level accounting duties.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
• Analyze business operations and financial commitments to project future revenues and expenses.
• Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems.
• Coordinate audits and prepare audit schedules, financial reports, and other necessary documentation.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including month and end-year processes, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll, and utilities.
• Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
