Summary: Our large client located in Atlanta is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The Senior Accountant will sit on the corporate accounting team and have room for growth and advancement. The company offers a hybrid work environment and positive work culture.
Responsibilities
• Manage various corporate accounting functions, including global financial statement consolidation, joint ventures, variance analysis, and intercompany accounting.
• Prepare financial reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in the month-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Support internal and external audits with necessary documentation and explanations.
• Collaborate with business partners to resolve issues and communicate financial information.
• Utilize accounting software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Support other teams with reporting requirements and ad hoc requests.
• Participate in special projects, including M&A activities.
• Analyze the impact of foreign exchange.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and roll forwards for major accounts.
• Analyze financials for significant fluctuations and reporting accuracy.
• Perform special accounting projects as assigned.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• 3 + years of corporate accounting or public accounting experience required
• Consolidations and intercompany accounting experience a plus
• Team player, detail oriented, process improvement minded
