We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client in Boston. This position is hybrid and will require an office presence at least two days per week.
Job Responsibilities
• Undertake diverse assignments within the Accounting Department, contributing to the precise and punctual completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual book close processes, as well as the formation of budgets and financial plans
• Execute accounting tasks and analytical work, produce schedules and reports for financial statements, and assist with the ongoing forecasting and development of financial models
• Leverage specialized technical expertise to aid in business decision-making and document internal control procedures, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Propose and execute improvements to Accounting Department procedures and related financial systems
• Continuously evaluate the value and efficiency of performed tasks, pinpointing and applying enhancements
• Initiate and/or spearhead increasingly complex departmental projects and continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing broad visibility and experience within the Finance organization
• Foster a development-focused environment by supporting colleagues' strengths and sharing knowledge through training or work review sessions
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting is mandatory; a CPA designation or an advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is highly desirable
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting and/or consulting
• Proven ability to maintain high attention to detail in a dynamic work environment, managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously to achieve results
• Strong communication skills, both within the team and across various organizational levels, to ensure the successful achievement of shared objectives
• Comfortable leading meetings and effectively communicating issues and trends to senior management and other relevant groups at the appropriate level of detail
• Deep understanding of financial tools and analytical methodologies
