Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Accountant at CAPTIV in Chennai. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks, such as preparing financial statements, maintaining general ledger accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Tally ERP:
• * Perform day-to-day accounting tasks using Tally ERP, including accurate data entry for purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
• Manage and maintain financial records in Tally, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• GST Compliance:
• * Handle GST calculations, return filings, and maintain records for GST input and output.
• Ensure the companys adherence to all GST regulations.
• TDS Management:
• * Calculate, deduct, and file TDS as required.
• Manage TDS certificates and ensure timely issuance and compliance.
• Income Tax:
• * Assist in income tax computations and tax planning.
• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax laws.
• Accounts Book Maintenance:
• * Maintain and reconcile ledgers, balance sheets, and P&L accounts.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support audit preparations.
• P&L Filing:
• * Prepare and finalize Profit and Loss statements.
• Assist in internal and external audits, ensuring all statutory requirements are met.
• Sales and Credit Notes:
• * Record, track, and manage sales transactions and credit notes.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, including more complex cases as needed.
