Founded in 1+47 and serving client organizations from coast to coast, Honkamp's clients range from privately held organizations to individuals and nonprofits. We are seeking a highly skilled senior accountant to join our dynamic team. The senior accountant will provide a wide variety of services and expertise in accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive accounting services and financial guidance
• Lead junior accounting staff, providing mentorship and guidance as needed
• Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with clients to address their specific accounting, financial and business needs
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to advise clients
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge in accounting principles, demonstrate leadership abilities, and exhibit a commitment to delivering top-notch client service.
Requires:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; CPA preferred
• At least 4 years of related accounting experience
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quickbooks, Accounting CS) and the ability to learn new software
• Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
